FAQ
-
How many training sessions will I need?
The number of training sessions depends on your dog’s age, personality, current skills, and your training goals.
Most clients start with 5 sessions to gain confidence and go from there.
Some dogs pick up basic commands quickly in just a few sessions, while others may benefit from ongoing training to build confidence and reinforce good behavior.
I’ll work with you to create a personalized plan that fits your dog’s needs and helps you both succeed.
Remember, consistency and practice between sessions are key to making lasting progress!

Is my dog too old or to young to start training?
Are you a first time puppy owner?
Do you feel overwhelmed and dont know what to do or where you should start?
I can assist with coaching before your pup comes home to ensure you are fully prepared for your first week with your baby!
Puppies benefit from early training to build good habits and social skills, while adult and senior dogs can also be trained effectively with patience and positive reinforcement.
Training at any stage improves your dog’s behavior, mental stimulation, and strengthens your bond.
So whether your pup is just a few weeks old or entering their golden years, it’s never too early or too late to start!

Do you work with aggressive dogs?
I don’t work directly with aggressive dogs, as I focus on dogs that are ready for positive, stress-free training sessions.
However, I completely understand how challenging aggression can be, and I want to make sure you and your dog get the best support possible.
I’d be happy to refer you to a reputable trainer who specializes in working with aggressive dogs and has the experience to help you safely manage and improve your dog’s behavior.
My goal is to ensure your dog receives the care and guidance they need from the right professional.

What style of training do you use?
Positive Reinforcement Dog Training is a humane, science-backed approach that focuses on rewarding good behavior rather than punishing bad.
By using treats, praise, toys, or play as motivation, dogs learn to associate desired behaviors with positive outcomes.
This method builds trust, strengthens the human-animal bond, and encourages dogs to learn in a stress-free, enjoyable environment.
It's effective for everything from basic obedience to behavior modification—and it makes training fun for both you and your dog.
-
What other training do you offer?
I offer a variety of training services tailored to your dog’s needs, including basic obedience, leash manners, socialization, and fun tricks.
Every dog and owner is unique, so I customize the training to fit your goals and lifestyle.
Please note that I do not provide protection dog training, as my focus is on positive and cooperative training methods.
If you have specific needs, feel free to reach out, and we can discuss the best approach for you and your dog!

What do I need for my first session?
For your first training session, please bring some soft, easy-to-break training treats that your dog loves—these help keep them motivated and focused.
If your dog has a specialized diet or dietary restrictions, no worries!
We’re happy to work around those and can recommend alternatives to ensure training stays positive and enjoyable.
Bringing a collar or harness and a standard leash is also helpful to keep your dog safe and comfortable during the session.
